This is a rather lovely piece called ‘Balmoral Debutante’ by Amy Goodrich of Portobello Bear Co. dating back to 2006. This charming piece is a one off. The bear is made from soft off white / cream wavy mohair with black detail around the pads and nose area. The nose has been varnished to give a shining appearance to match the glass eyes. The special bit about the bear is its cross stitch old fashioned sampler tummy which says ‘Home Sweet Home’. The bear is fully jointed and is 35cm /14”. The bear sits in her own basket with vintage items including a lace cloth, small vintage hat with lace and blue flowers (fits the bear for an added feature), a pair of very vintage silk slippers, a vintage royal commemorative tin, and a stitched sampler of the alphabet. A wonderful item to add to any collection but most of all a complete stand alone piece that is fascinating and so well done. Please note that whilst this bear is brand new, the accessories are vintage and therefore their condition is consistent with this and not as new.
